Stylist Robert Verdi puts the squeeze on his star client, a stunned Eva Longoria, backstage at The Martha Stewart show in New York on Tuesday. The Desperate Housewives star has been in the Big Apple busy promoting her show, catching fiancé Tony Parker’s San Antonio Spurs-New Jersey Nets game and shopping.

Eva Longoria and her husband-to-be Tony Parker are getting serious about their summer wedding plans - they’ve started shopping for gift ideas. The couple was spotted making a wedding list at Macy’s in New York after store bosses agreed to let them browse after hours recently.

A friend tells Life & Style magazine, “They took a private two hour tour of the registry department. They’re making it totally affordable, and were just having fun.”

The couple will wed on July 7 in basketball star Parker’s native Paris, France. The wedding is being planned by Mindy Weiss, who also took charge of Jessica Simpson’s nuptials.

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker have sent out extravagant invitations for their Paris wedding on July 7.

The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star and the basketball player sent out red velvet cards with an embossed gold image of the Eiffel Tower on the front bearing a red heart with “T E 7-7-7” written in gold italics.

The lavish invitation reads: “Save the date for the wedding of Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, the seventh of July 2007, Paris, France.

“Dear family and friends, we are so excited to be celebrating our wedding with you. Once in Paris, please be our guest at a pre-arranged hotel Thursday, July 5th and departing Sunday July 8th. You will be contacted by our coordinators in the next week with further information. With Love, Eva and Tony.

“We would like to remind you passports are required for international travel.”
The personal message is surrounded by pictures of chandeliers.
It was previously revealed the couple chose July 7 because Tony is superstitious and believes 07.07.07 is the luckiest day to get married on.

Eva and Tony are said to be planning to exchange vows at the Château de Chantilly, an idyllic castle north of Paris.

It is also believed Eva has asked French designer Monique Lhuillier to create her wedding dress.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria loves being engaged because people are always so happy around her. The 31-year-old is planning to wed basketball star Tony Parker in his native France this summer. She explains, “The wedding plans are going great. I really like this whole process. “Everybody’s so congratulatory. I wish I could stay engaged all the time!”

Eva Longoria was reportedly shocked to be sent a bill for the clothes and accessories she snagged when she opened the January sale at Harrods last month.

Eva toured the store and collected items worth many thousands of pounds but didn’t realise she’d have to pay for them.

A source said recently: “Eva was paid $100,000 for her personal appearance at Harrods, and after she’d opened the sale she went round the store and did a lot of shopping for herself.

“But she was stunned when she was sent the bill. She thought she was allowed to have what she wanted for free as an extra thank you for turning up.”
