On Monday evening, the Eva Longoria’s Desperate Housewives co-star, Teri Hatcher, threw a girls-only wedding party at her home Monday night – just one day after Felicity Huffman and Longoria’s best friend Brittany Olson hosted a coed bash.
The 30 guests, all cast and crew from the hit ABC show, included Huffman and Hatcher’s TV daughter, Andrea Bowen. They were treated to Moet champagne, finger foods, and fun, a guest tells People mag.
At the door, guests were each given a garter, which they had to forfeit if they were caught using the words “Tony,” “Paris” or “dress” during the evening. (Longoria is marrying Tony Parker on July 7 in Paris.) At the end of the night, the guest with the most garters won. The winner was somebody accustomed to watching what she says: the show’s publicity coordinator Joslyn Paul.
But even the losers didn’t go home empty-handed. Each guest got a gift of a Swarovski crystal candle-holder.
At Sunday’s shower at Huffman’s house, guests competed to make the most elegant wedding gown – out of toilet paper – and the prize went to Hatcher.
“It was such a special day!” Longoria tells People Magazine. “Felicity and my maid of honor, Brittany Olson, went above and beyond to make the whole afternoon beautiful and memorable. I can’t thank them enough. I’m extremely blessed to be surrounded by my family, friends and co-workers and to have had them all together to celebrate this special moment in my life.”

Eva Longoria believes the David and Victoria Beckham will get a hard time when they start their new life in L.A.
The actress, who is friends with the couple, thinks there will be no hiding place for the couple who are creating a stir in the States.
“They’re in the papers here every day,†she tells Heat magazine. “I feel really bad for them because I know in London it’s pretty hard for them and I think it’s going to be pretty hard for them here as well.
“They’re so iconic and so famous and so beautiful and everything about them is so fascinating to people.â€
Eva, who has just been rated the Sexiest Woman in the World, believes the Beckhams should not shy away from the attention they will get when David starts playing for US team L.A. Galaxy.
“They’re young and they’re beautiful so why not live life now. Live life to the fullest,†she adds. “I adore them. I think they are wonderful, wonderful people.â€

Who better to throw Eva Longoria a bridal shower than her Desperate Housewives costars?
Longoria, 32, and cast mates Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Brenda Strong, along with hairstylist Ken Paves and stylist Robert Verdi, gathered at Felicity Huffman’s Los Angeles home on Sunday for an outdoor bash.
The guest of honor, who will marry Tony Parker in Paris on July 7, wore a taupe Badgley Mischka dress and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes to the party, where guests competed to make the most elegant wedding gown – out of toilet paper.
Longoria, serving as judge, chose Hatcher for her tissue frock adorned with pink roses and a tiara.
The shower featured a sit-down lunch with little pink houses as centerpieces on the brown and pink tables. On the menu: a salad bar with chicken, salmon, shrimp and gourmet cheeses, accompanied by white wine and specialty martinis. Afterwards, guests indulged in brownies, chocolate chip cookies and white-chocolate pastries.
The revelers had been instructed to give the couple gifts for each room of their house. “I got the living room,” Strong told PEOPLE, “and got her this really beautiful imported mirror.”
Verdi tried to bring out Longoria’s inner housewife by gifting her with a set of Calphalon cookware and a library of 30 cookbooks signed by top chefs such as Nigella Lawson, Wolfgang Puck and Mario Batali.
And what did Huffman get her friend?
“I’m giving her this damn shower,” she told People on Saturday at a gala for the American Fertility Association. “I don’t have to get her a present as well, do I?”

Desperate Housewives star Josh Henderson believes tension among his female co-stars may have arisen because they never socialize off-set.
The actor, who plays Austin McCann in the hit show, says his co-stars, including Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria, only ever interact during filming or at work-related events.
He says, “I get asked about the tensions a lot. I’ve really never seen any problems or trauma. You know, the girls all have their own lives. They have boyfriends or families, so I suppose they don’t hang out much as friends.
“But they’re always going to parties and work-related nights out with the rest of the cast and they get on fine.”

‘Desperate Housewives‘ star Marcia Cross is revelling in her new status of mom to twin baby girls.
The 45-year old actress, who gave birth to Eden and Savannah, on Feb 20 this year, opened up for the first time about motherhood, and admits that it is better than she ever imagined it to be.
“I wanted to be a member of that club so badly, and now I’m in and it’s so much better than I even imagined,” People magazine quoted her, as saying.
However, it hasn’t been an easy ride for Cross and husband Tom Mahoney, for the couple wasn’t even sure whether they would be able to conceive.
“We did in vitro a week after we got married. We were supposed to go to Greece and Paris and have this fancy honeymoon, and I said, ‘Let’s stay put and see if we can’t give this baby a chance,’ ” Cross revealed.
They got a real scare four weeks away from Cross’ March 21 due date when the actress was diagnosed with preeclampsia, a disorder characterized by dangerously high blood pressure that threatens both mother and baby.
Doctors then decided to deliver the babies via caesarean section.
But, the trouble and worry was certainly worth it, for the actress insists that nothing except heaven compares to the love she feels for her daughters.
“I’m in heaven right now,” she said.

Marcia Cross, who recently gave birth to twins, is proud to be a member of the Mom Club.
“I wanted to be a member of that club so badly, and now I’m in and it’s so much better than I even imagined,” says the 45-year-old actress, who plays Bree on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives.”
“Even before I was 30, I started thinking about (motherhood),” Cross tells People magazine in its April 23 issue, on newsstands Friday. “The years started going by and I was anxious about the clock ticking. Now, it seems like it was all meant to be.”
Cross gave birth to daughters Eden and Savannah in February – one month before her March 21 due date – hours after being diagnosed with preeclampsia, a disorder characterized by high blood pressure that threatens both mother and baby, according to the magazine.
“Savannah was born first and then Eden followed within the same minute,” says Cross’ stockbroker husband, Tom Mahoney, who held the actress’ hand while she underwent a C-section. “Then we had a symphony of crying and it was fantastic.”
Cross appears with the twins on the cover of magazine, with more photos inside.
The couple, who wed last June, began dating in 2004 after Cross spotted Mahoney, 49, at a flower store in Los Angeles and left her number with the shopkeeper.
“We did in vitro a week after we got married,” she tells the magazine. “We were supposed to go to Greece and Paris and have this fancy honeymoon, and I said, ‘Let’s stay put and see if we can’t give this baby a chance.’ ”
