Teri Hatcher
Teri Hatcher is embarrassed by her recent Glamour magazine award, as she is running out of things to be nominated for each year.
The actress picked up the Best Writer award for her book “Burnt Toast” at British Glamour magazine’s annual award ceremony in London on Tuesday — and her latest haul makes it the third different trophy in consecutive years at the ceremony.
She says, “It’s getting rather embarrassing. This is the third year I’ve won an award — I’ve previously won Best Actress and Woman of the Year — and it’s like they have to keep finding categories for me to win.
“And you know what will happen next, don’t you?
“It’s the dreaded Lifetime Achievement award, which means it’s all over for you.”

Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher is convinced a guest editing stint for British magazine Glamour has turned the paparazzi against her. But the actress isn’t complaining - she’s delighted she can shop in peace at last. For her stint as a journalist, Hatcher decided it would be fun to photograph the snappers who follow her and daughter Emerson everywhere - in a bid to show fans that she’s always hounded.
She explains, “We’d pull up at an ATM machine or something and they all (paparazzi) surround us in cars and start shooting us and I hand her (Emerson) the camera and she just starts walking towards the cars and she’s just shooting. Since this article came out they have really laid off. I don’t know if it’s because of that or if it’s just I’m simply not hot anymore.”
As well as turning the paparazzi off her, Hatcher is convinced the article was very important for her pre-teen daughter. She adds, “It was very empowering for her.”

Teri Hatcher was left shocked and stunned when thieves stole her ATM card. The Desperate Housewives star thought she had lost the cash card, but when she reported the missing plastic to her bank she was informed a happy thief had been ringing up a fortune on it. She explains, “I called to cancel it and was actually stolen… I don’t use it much, so they had rung up $12,000. “They did 90 different transactions and I know that because for every single fraud thing you have to sign out (sic) a whole slip that says, ‘No, I wasn’t at Joe’s Diner, spending $20 (GBP40) on chilli.’ “There were a lot of trips to Albertsons (grocery store) in the Valley (Los Angeles), Vons, Longs Drugs, lots of little purchases. I think that’s probably how they get away with it. “It dawned on me as I was doing this that in 90 times of them giving the card, nobody ever went, ‘Teri Hatcher…’ I was really kinda freaked out that that could happen. But the theft has left a positive impact on the actress’ life it has prompted her to get more organised so she’ll realise the next time a card goes missing. She adds, “I’m cleaning everything to get more organised.”

Teri Hatcher prefers bathing in wine rather than drinking it!
Hatcher confesses she hates being wasteful and was advised by a pharmacist to not throw wine away but to pour it in bathwater, reports contactmusic.com. She has since then started enjoying bathing in wine.
She said: ‘When you’re alone you open a bottle of wine and then it’s not really good after four or five days. This make-up chemist that I know was talking about all the good properties in wine - antioxidants and stuff, exfoliating qualities - and she said, `Never throw it out, dump it in your bath’.

On Monday evening, the Eva Longoria’s Desperate Housewives co-star, Teri Hatcher, threw a girls-only wedding party at her home Monday night – just one day after Felicity Huffman and Longoria’s best friend Brittany Olson hosted a coed bash.
The 30 guests, all cast and crew from the hit ABC show, included Huffman and Hatcher’s TV daughter, Andrea Bowen. They were treated to Moet champagne, finger foods, and fun, a guest tells People mag.
At the door, guests were each given a garter, which they had to forfeit if they were caught using the words “Tony,” “Paris” or “dress” during the evening. (Longoria is marrying Tony Parker on July 7 in Paris.) At the end of the night, the guest with the most garters won. The winner was somebody accustomed to watching what she says: the show’s publicity coordinator Joslyn Paul.
But even the losers didn’t go home empty-handed. Each guest got a gift of a Swarovski crystal candle-holder.
At Sunday’s shower at Huffman’s house, guests competed to make the most elegant wedding gown – out of toilet paper – and the prize went to Hatcher.
“It was such a special day!” Longoria tells People Magazine. “Felicity and my maid of honor, Brittany Olson, went above and beyond to make the whole afternoon beautiful and memorable. I can’t thank them enough. I’m extremely blessed to be surrounded by my family, friends and co-workers and to have had them all together to celebrate this special moment in my life.”

Most actresses are dying for a role as big as Teri Hatcher’s character in ‘Desperate Housewives’. Teri, on the other hand, is slowing down and eventually hopes to work behind the scenes because she’s getting “too old to act”.
The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star has just sold a new TV show to a network and is planning to grow old gracefully “behind the camera.”
Teri told Easy Living magazine, “I’ve just sold my first TV show to a network. It’s a comedy and it may never make it to air but it’s exciting to be behind the camera. I’m writing a book too! I’m trying to build a business that will allow me not to be in front of the camera, because, you know, I’m old!”
The 42-year-old, who plays Susan Mayer on the hit TV show, recently admitted she was struggling to strike a balance between work, love and caring for her eight-year-old daughter Emerson Rose, according to AHN.
She said, “I’ll work a 14-hour day, four days in a row and feel like I’ve been run over. But I don’t call it tired, I call it, ‘Nothing is right, and I’m no good at my job and I’m horrible and no one will ever love me.’ This is a serial problem for mothers. We’re trying to be everything all the time. The best mom, the best worker, the best wife or the best dater. And it’s too much.”
How quickly the actress plans to leave the acting profession is unknown, but don’t be surprised if an “unfortunate accident” knocks off her character sometime in the near future.
