Desperate Housewife Teri Hatcher is struggling with the punishing schedule of the hit show, insisting it’s hard to juggle time to be both a great mother and a TV star.

The actress has nine-year-old daughter Emerson and is currently dating boyfriend Stephen Kay, but admits trying to please everyone is leaving her feeling under pressure.

She moans, “I’ll work a 14-hour day, four days in a row and feel like I’ve been run over. But I don’t call it tired, I call it, ‘Nothing is right, and I’m no good at my job and I’m horrible and no one will ever love me.’

“This is a serial problem for mums. We’re trying to be everything all the time. The best mum, the best worker, the best wife, or the best dater. And it’s too much.”

Teri Hatcher, who recently denied plastic surgery and Botox rumors, proves that age is nothing but a number as she enjoys a lunch date with a distinguished older gentleman – former President George Bush – at the Los Angeles Country Club of Beverly Hills on Wednesday. Bush Sr. was in Los Angeles to accept the Ronald Reagan Freedom Award.

Teri Hatcher knows what’s been written about her on the Internet, and she’s setting the record straight: “I don’t use Botox or Restylane and I’ve never had any surgery, no matter what you’ve read.”

Hatcher, 42, tells the British edition of Glamour in its March issue: “That’s the one downside to fame – on any one day you can find loads of hideously mean things said about you online.

“[My friend] keeps threatening to put these computer child locks on my computer so I can’t torture myself. It hurts, you know?”

The actress – who is dating director Peter Kay, – says she’s started a production company so she doesn’t have to worry about her looks so much.

“I’m developing television programs and movies to produce, not star in,” she says. “I’m already thinking about what’s going to happen.”

She says she’s struggled so much over the years to like herself “that the appearance of a few more lines doesn’t really worry me so much.”

On her relationship with Kay, who previously dated her fellow Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria, she says they “don’t play games.”

“I had a date set up for a week and a half away, but he called and said, ‘You know what? I really think that seems like too far; what are you doing Monday?’ ”

With her fellow Desperate Housewives all married or engaged, Teri Hatcher was the last bachelorette standing – but no longer.

“I’m not single anymore,” the actress, 42, told TV’s Extra Monday night at the Golden Globes. “I’m totally in love and it’s fabulous.”

The lucky guy? Her red-carpet date, director Stephen Kay. “I will just say that he’s the most beautiful human being on the planet,” Hatcher said, although she admitted, “He doesn’t want to be here!”

Kay, whose credits include the horror movie Boogieman and an episode of the TV show Friday Night Lights, previously dated Eva Longoria – who gave the pair her blessing.

“Eva and (fiancé) Tony (Parker) have never been happier together, and Eva wishes the same happiness for Teri,” Longoria’s rep said in November when Hatcher and Kay first revealed they were dating.

So will Hatcher follow in the footsteps of Longoria and fellow Housewife Nicollette Sheridan and get engaged? “Oh please,” she told Extra. “I’m just happy to be happy. I’m always the last one!”
