Eva’s new hair and size is for Gabrielle character

Recent photographs of Eva Longoria Parker on vacation in Italy in a bikini, with a less than flat tummy, sent bloggers into a tailspin, speculating the star might be with child.

Yesterday, the rumors continued when she was spotted wearing baggy jeans with a new, shorter Katie Holmes-like hairdo, as she attended a Coldplay concert in Los Angeles. But are Eva and husband, basketball star Tony Parker, expecting a little arrival?

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for Longoria Parker seemed to shoot down the pregnancy rumors, without addressing them directly.

Instead, the rep said, Eva’s new look has to do with her role on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives.”

“For the upcoming season of ‘Desperate Housewives,’ Gabrielle on the show has ‘gained’ weight and cut her hair,” Eva’s rep, Liza Anderson, said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “She is now a worn out mother with two kids. Eva has enjoyed a more relaxed environment and will even be wearing butt pads and stomach pads.”
