Actress Eva Longoria says being asked to open this year’s winter sale at London’s famed Harrods department store was “an honor and a privilege.”
The Daily Mail reported the “Desperate Housewives” actress said she was thrilled at the prospect of being the first to enjoy the British store’s annual bargain bazaar Dec. 28.
The 31-year-old actress will be accompanied by the department store’s head, Mohamed Al Fayed.
“It is such an honor and a privilege to be asked by Mr. Al Fayed to join him at the opening of the sale at the world’s most famous department store,” said the actress, who plays Gabrielle Solis on the popular ABC drama.
The paper said that the honorary retail invitation to the annual sale was previously given to British actress Kelly Brook and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.
