 Eva Longoria is shooting down rumors that she plans to star as Beyonce Knowles’s lover in a new movie.
“Stop the madness” Longoria tells PEOPLE exclusively about the false reports that she and Knowles will play a couple in an adaptation of Sarah Waters’s love story Tipping the Velvet. “Believe me, I would love to work with Beyonce one day. She’s so talented. But this is definitely not something we are doing together. It’s completely and absolutely not true.”
Longoria says the rumor, which she has seen repeated on numerous Web sites and even on television, started about a week ago – before she had ever even met Knowles. Many of the false reports also alleged that Sofia Coppola had been tapped to direct the film.
“Beyonce and I just did the L’Oreal event a couple of days ago and we were like, ‘What is the deal?’” Longoria tells PEOPLE. “What makes me crazy is that there are quotes out there, quotes from me saying it’s true. But in fact it’s not true. And (there are) quotes of Beyonce saying it’s about time we had a female Brokeback Mountain. And we’re like, we never said that.”
Lawyers for the actress are trying to track down the original source of the rumor, but so far have not been able to locate it, according to the Desperate Housewives star.
A spokesperson for Knowles also confirmed that the rumors are false, telling PEOPLE: “This is not happening. We’ve never heard of this film.”

 Eva Longoria says she toyed with the idea of running for political office – until she imagined the campaign TV ads confusing her with her role as fiery seductress Gabrielle Solis on Desperate Housewives, she told a group of Latino leaders in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
“I’m here today to announce my candidacy for president. … Oh, wrong speech! In the last two years, I’ve had an affair with the gardener and a teenager, I’ve faked a paternity test, my husband went to prison, and I threw him out of a window,” the actress said. “I would probably win in California.”
At the luncheon, Longoria, 31, stressed the importance of supporting arts programs that feature Latino actors. Not that she’s pushing “diversity requirements,” she noted.
The actress, who’s a longtime friend of Dancing with the Stars runner-up Mario Lopez, told PEOPLE: “They didn’t pick him because he was Latin and they needed to fulfill a diversity requirement. They picked him because he’s a good dancer.”
Longoria has been active in politics, including the 2004 presidential race, during which she helped to educate Latino leaders about candidates, participated in a bus tour and met with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. The actress said she remains informed about immigration, education, health care, and employment issues.
And Desperate Housewives pretty much runs the gamut of American politics. “I think everybody on Wisteria Lane has the money of a Republican, but the sex life of a Democrat so it’s a really political show,” Longoria cracked.

Kym Douglas, host of the Lifetime makeover show “Queen,” and celebrity journalist Cindy Pearlman, have put together the book, which will have the secrets of Hollywood’s most beautiful women, reports the New York, Daily News.
For instance Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher bathes in wine for a glowing skin.
The polyphenols found in grapes jump-start circulation to reveal healthier glowing softer skin.
The book advises, pour one cup of red wine (don’t worry about stains on skin or tub) into a warm bath, put a few rose petals on top, jump in, and stay for 20 minutes.
Teri Hatcher uses old wine and lets the sediments sink to the bottom of the tub.
“I scoop them up in the tub and use them as an exfoliant. The only bad thing is you can’t drink the whole bottle of wine,” she says.

 Teri Hatcher confirms that she is dating Eva Longoria’s ex-boyfriend, director Stephen Kay, in a story Extra is set to air Friday. The two met through a mutual friend.
And Longoria, who is currently in a relationship with basketball star Tony Parker, has given her Desperate Housewives costar her blessing. “Eva and Tony have never been happier together, and Eva wishes the same happiness for Teri,” her publicist, Liza Anderson, said in a statement.
Longoria and Kay were linked in 2004, and he directed her in a television movie, The Dead Will Tell. His other directing credits include the horror flick Boogeyman and an episode of the television show Friday Night Lights.
In March, Hatcher was photographed kissing Ryan Seacrest, but the actress revealed on The Oprah Winfrey Show that the romance did not develop after he called her and said, “I don’t think I can do this with you.”
Longoria began dating Parker in 2005 and has described their first meeting – in the San Antonio Spurs’ locker room – as lust at first sight.

 Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross makes a guest appearance on the Rachael Ray Show on Wednesday but the Celebrity Baby Blog got a sneak peak! The actress, and her husband stockbroker Tom Mahoney, who are expecting their twins in April, speaks about her hit prime time show and her battle with migraines since she was 14, but here’s what Marcia had to say about her pregnancy:
She’s Tired:
Marcia admits to being worn out from her full life, including long work days on her show, her marriage, and being pregnant with twins, “I’m tired, I walk in my trailer, I’m putting my feet up or I lay down. Nap time, I’m like ‘Don’t knock on the door!’ It’s like death if you knock on the door. I have to take a nap.” She says that this kind of tired is blessed “high class tired” and is better than past tired (stress), when she was unemployed, single and wanting to have children.”
Cravings & Eating for Three:
She says that she doesn’t really have any weird cravings and that her desire for ice cream is nothing new, “I always want ice cream, who doesn’t always want ice cream.”
She also says her and the babies’ appetite is ferocious and particular, “I’ve had to eat so much. I guess it’s because there’s three heartbeats and 3 you know.”
“I never thought… actually I’m tired of eating. I have to eat 24 hours a day. I swear. But it’s not like I’m eating cakes and cookies, they want real food… like protein.”
Cutting out the bad stuff:
The actress admits to having drank the occasional glass of wine and loving coffee before she got pregnant, but that she no longer craves the stuff that’s forbidden during her pregnancy and says that it’s a “deeply profond experience” and “it’s like you’re possessed.”
“Something else takes over and tells you you need to eat healthy, you need to sleep, you need to pee, and you need to drink water.”
Desperate Housewives Babysitter:
An audience member asked Marcia, which Desperate Housewives character she would choose to watch her twins. She chose Felicity Huffman’s character Lynnette Scavo adding, “Felicity and Mrs. McClusky.”

 Actress Marcia Cross is enjoying life, marriage, and a successful career. Today, she’s probably best know for the role of Bree Van De Kamp on “Desperate Housewives.”
Marcia is also a migraineur. Last week, we took a look at her tips for Navigating Holidays with Migraines, and a bit of her personal history with migraines. This morning, Marcia was kind enough to spend some time talking with me about migraine disease, how she handles her migraines, and why she thinks it’s important to be properly diagnosed and treated.
ROBERT: Thank you for being willing to share your experiences with migraine disease. How frequently do you have migraine attacks.
CROSS: I’ve been really lucky lately. I haven’t had any since I’ve been pregnant. I feel like I’ve gotten them down to really minimal, three to four a year. So I’m really doing well, which was not the case in the beginning. I really watch stress, and my trigger foods, and all the things I need to do to stay migraine-free. I just cannot stand that pain. For me, I just have to go home and get in a dark room and wait for it to pass. But waiting for it to pass still involves some pain.
ROBERT: Have you been able to manage your migraines with trigger management and abortive medication, or do you use any over-the-counter or prescription preventives at all?
CROSS: No preventatives, but I carry medicine with me at all times.
ROBERT: From your holiday tips, it’s really obvious that you place a strong emphasis on trigger management.
CROSS: Well, yes, because that’s the time of year when everybody stresses. Needlessly, I might add, because it’s really not the point of the holiday. You know, if you don’t have the perfect present, or if the turkey’s a little overcooked.
ROBERT: No, of course, it’s not. Thank you!
CROSS: It’s not worth getting a migraine over as far as I’m concerned.

 Heather Mills turns to hit TV show Desperate Housewives to help her cope with the stress of her everyday life. The 38-year-old is currently involved in a bitter divorce from former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, but finds solace in the show because she closely identifies with the characters.
She tells US news show Extra, “When I’m stressed…I just go and watch their characters. “So I think I have the look of Bree (Marcia Cross), and I think I’m very like Lynette (Felicity Huffman). “I’ve always got, like, soy milk stains all over me and, you know, haven’t been able to brush my hair properly, so I can relate to that.”

 Perhaps desperate times called for desperate measures, but one thing is clear: Whatever sense of desperation compelled Marc Cherry to retake the reins of the show he introduced more than two years ago came just in time.
While it’s difficult to say that any TV show that pulled in more than 22 million viewers per week and finished the season ranked fourth overall was struggling, it was plain to see that ABC’s “Desperate Housewives” lost something in its sophomore season.
“Something” in addition to nearly 1.5 million viewers, that is.
It was its edge. The sense of daring and the unique voice that propelled the show to instant near-classic status was gone. The characters were still there, but the story, the intrigue, the dark humor wasn’t.
Cherry promised a change at the start of the third season. He vowed to be more hands-on, saying that every script would pass across his desk - a responsibility he may have let slip away last year. Two months into the new season, Cherry has once again managed to do what would seem impossible if it hadn’t happened on Wisteria Lane.
He hasn’t just silenced the critics. He’s made us stand up and shout once more about what a fantastic little slice of suburban heaven he and his team of writers have served up.
But it wasn’t easy.
“Housewives” kicked off the season with a premiere watched by more than 24 million people, according to Nielsen Media Research. The audience proceeded to dwindle weekly for a month, reaching a low of 19.7 million for the Oct. 22 episode.
But like a prize-fighter on the brink of a knockout, “Housewives” came back swinging and has owned November sweeps with a shocking Nov. 5 episode in which two characters were gunned down, and a follow-up Sunday that proved the earlier success was more than a one-shot deal.
“Housewives” is now averaging more viewers than any other show this season, holding a slim lead (22 million to 21.98 million viewers) over its old ABC neighbor, “Grey’s Anatomy.”
The turnaround came through the flushing away or fleshing out of storylines that remained from last season.

Does Nicollette Sheridan owe her Desperate status to Rob Lee?
Her former manager says she does, but the buxom blonde is looking for either a postponement or a dismissal of his breach of contract lawsuit against her while she takes the matter up with a higher power.
The California Labor Commission, that is.
Michael Bolton’s beloved has filed papers with the state agency claiming that Lee, who does business under the label of Bayonne Entertainment, was not licensed as a talent agent when they worked together, thereby voiding any contract they entered into at the time.
Lee sued Sheridan in June, alleging that, right around the time Desperate Housewives took off, she reneged on a verbal agreement requiring her to pay him 10 percent of her gross income (which obviously became much higher once she landed the role of Edie Britt).
Lee also stated that he was the one who guided Sheridan through her career renaissance, first urging the former Knots Landing star to try out for the ABC mega-hit and then talking her into showing up for that crucial second audition.
Sheridan, 42, fired him in 2004 to avoid shelling out the agreed-upon sum, Lee alleged in his suit.
Her legal camp is arguing that Lee’s lawsuit cannot proceed until the Labor Commission has issued its own ruling.
A hearing to discuss the actress’ request and other issues pertaining to the case is scheduled for Nov. 29.
Meanwhile, Desperate Housewives continues to stab its competition in the back. The hour-long dramedy pulled in more than 22.6 million viewers Nov. 5, making it the most-watched show of the week.
