Wisteria Lane will be no more after three more seasons.
That’s the word out of the Desperate Housewives panel at ABC’s press tour for TV critics, which included creator Marc Cherry, executive producer Bob Daily and all the women (Eva, Teri, Nicollette, Felicity, Marcia and, yes, even Dana Delany, who will be back for season five).
“I’ve made the decision that after seven years I will probably keel over in a hump,” Cherry explained. I love my baby, I love working with these gals, but the idea of letting anyone else take the show from me kind of makes me sad and sick to my stomach…I’m going to take it for seven years, and we’re going to get out while people still like us.â€
Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman both said they respect Marc’s decision. (I caught up with them at the ABC party, so stand by for video.)
Not Pregnant: Eva Longoria Parker reiterated she isn’t pregnant and that her new “frumpy” look for the show is all part of Gaby’s new direction. As you know, D.H. will flash-forward five years into the future for the new season, when Eva is the exasperated mother of two cute little girls (whom Eva said she’s “already in love with”).
Added Eva: “Marc told me last year before the season finale that we wanted her to have the mom haircut, and that she has let herself go because Carlos is blind, she’s had two kids, and she’s just really kind of let go of that vanity. We brainstormed with hair and makeup and wardrobe, and I cut my hair because I didn’t want to wear a wig once he told me how long it was going to last.â€
Gaby also needs to be fuller. “So yeah, [it’s] butt pads, stomach pads, boob pads,†Eva said. “I love it, because I come to hair and makeup now and it’s 10 minutes instead of two hours. I wake up and go straight to set.â€

I am a huge Fan of Desperate Housewives, its the best show I’ve ever seen And i just cant wait for season 5 and the rest!
I cant believe the shock the finale of season 4 gave me. Gabi!! Anyway, must say i’ll be gutted when the show ends after it’s 7th season, no other show has ever got me hooked like Desp Housewives, but i suppose it has to go when it has .. MISS YOU I WILL!!

i was SO shocked at the news that it’s all going to end….i’m angry too because the show to me seems to have so many endless loose storylines still that need to be tied up, I can’t see them finishing it all in time, i hope they don’t jeopardise story for swift endings!! we as the devoted fans have a right to a proper conclusion.

i have seen season 1,2,3,4,and 5 soon and six when it comes on tv, and seriously desperate housewives started on 2004 and they said that it will last for 7 YEARS so , it will last till 2011, OMG IM SO SAD ONLY 2 YRS LEFT !!

I love Desperate Housewives…that is so not cool but yeah it’s true everything has to end sometime…I just recently found a site called Charity Folks. and they are basically this organization that auctions really cool stuff donated by stars to help out non-profit organizations! Anyway, they are auctioning off a set visit to desperate housewives aas well as brothers and sisers with the exec producer! They will also give you lunch at The Grill.

I love desperate housewives. Can’t wait for the season 5!!!!!!!!! I love Lynette she is just like me and I took the test and it said I was more like her than anyone else. What is up with Edie she needs to go she is causing too much drama!!!!! I liked it with just the four desperate housewives. Lynette (Felicity Huffman) Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) Bree (Marcia Cross) and Susan (Teri Hatcher)…… I love them all really but Lynette is my favourite!!!!!FOR SURE!!!!! nothing can change that!!!!!!!
